BYU Peterson Valuation Competition
Peterson Equity Partners sponsored and judged the first annual Peterson Partners Valuation Competition at BYU in October 2013. The competition was organized by BYU’s Investment Banking Club, a group composed of high-performing students in the Marriott School of Management. The 43 participating students formed teams to develop creative and technically sound valuation theses. Each team also provided industry analysis, suggested potential acquirers and outlined investment structures. After presentations and rigorous Q&A sessions, prizes were awarded to the top 3 teams as determined by a panel of judges. The competition was judged by Matt Day and Nick Jean-Baptiste from Peterson as well as Hal Heaton, a professor of finance in the Marriott School.
